This Piton most likely dates to the late 1930's. We believe it was hand forged from malleable iron featuring a double eye at the head and a full shank. I wonder what routes this piton has help send...absolutely wonderful patina. As with all of our vintage climbing equipment we recommend decorative purposes only.
